Privacy policy
What Overdrive stores, why, and for how long. Last updated 7 October 2026.
What we store
- Your account: email address and a one-way hash of your password (Argon2). We cannot read your password.
- Your PC: a keyed hash of a hardware identifier, so one pass works on one PC. We do not store the identifier itself.
- IP addresses of sign-ins, game sessions and downloads — deleted after 30 days.
- Game sessions: when each game started and last checked in, and the hidden mark placed in the copy of the game you downloaded.
- ProTanki names: the ProTanki usernames you log in with while using Overdrive, with when each was first and last seen. Only the name — never your ProTanki password.
- Passes and payments: what you bought and when, and gift codes you redeemed. Card and wallet details are handled by the payment provider; we never receive them.
Why
- To run your licence: sign-in, pass time, the one-PC rule, and stopping a game when access is withdrawn.
- To stop piracy and abuse: tracing a shared copy back to the account it came from, and spotting banned users returning under a new account.
- To answer support requests.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long
IP addresses: 30 days. Everything else: for as long as your account exists. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove it, except records we need to keep to handle a chargeback or a ban.
